The illustration board depicts a avid fan of a luxury brand wanting to purchase a luxury item in a glass, while unaware of the implications involved in making the product. On the right is a hand controlling the unethical means through puppetry akin to Pinocchio's machinations.
This mixed medium depicts society criticisms on the fashion industry for advocating for the right values and consumerism, but hiding the deceptive nature of the process of making them. The ideas of puppetry and control of consumer buying habits sparks paranoia and distrust.
The emphasizing point being made here is that people will still buy luxury items, even if there may be ethical violations at stake.
Process
The construction of this mixed medium on illustration board was based on several parts.

The Face Value>
The left side of the illustration board was made with pen drawing and watercolor.

Fashion Brands>
The fashion brands on the right consisted of inclusions of brand names from magazines in a collage manner. As a fan of the collage art from Weimar Germany, I wanted to add this type of art style.

Pinocchio Hand and Puppetry>
The Pinocchio figure to the right was painted with acrylic to provide an understanding that the puppet master was the closest to the viewer's hand followed by the reality, and finally the false perception of the consumer.
